Lead Cook
Wage Depends on Experience
Full-Time – Monday through Friday, 6am to 2pm
Summary of Position:
The Lead Cook, under the direction of the Nutrition Program Manager, will assist with direction of the kitchen staff with respect to day-to-day activities including sanitation concerns, daily staffing, and employee/kitchen safety. Ensure quality of food items/meals served and that meals are served in a timely fashion. Develop and standardize recipes to ensure consistency. Ensure that the entire kitchen/dining and all refrigerators/freezers etc. are at appropriate temperatures. Ensure that areas within the kitchen/dining are kept clean. Will cook or directly supervise the cooking of menu items for congregate, HDM, and catering events. Will perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check for any criminal activity.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test to include marijuana
- One to two year previous experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities and Duties:

General Functions:
- Provide direction for daily operations of all food production.
- Maintain and monitor food quality standards in all areas of food production and processes as well as supplier quality control.
- Daily monitor inventory to minimize over ordering of food & paper products.
- Ensures quality control and health & hygiene standards are followed at all times
- Ensures that wastages are kept to a minimum, maintaining FIFO at all times.
- Work with Program Manager in menu development.

Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
Wage Depends on Experience
Full-Time – Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm or Part-Time – 11am to 4pm
Summary of Position:
The purpose of this position is to serve seniors, perform general and executive office duties, assist with the coordination of fundraisers, edit or develop the newsletter, and assist the executive staff. This position ensures the goals of WASI are achieved.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check for any criminal activity.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test to include marijuana
- Must be able to type a minimum of 60wmp
- Strong writing skills
Ideal Candidate:
- Ability to work independently in a busy office environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities and Duties:

General Office Duties include but not limited to:
- Use of general office machines – computer, fax, copier, laminating machine, calculator, cash register, postage meter
- Answer multi-line, answer questions, transfer calls and phone take messages
- Assist visitors at the center
- File and organize archives
- Check messages on answering machine every morning, including routing calls to appropriate personnel as needed
- Receive payment and write receipts for yearly membership dues, Misc. functions, donations and Club50 classes, Fitness Center and other
- Update Members and Memberships in QB including Club50 thru month
- Medical Equipment: wheel chairs, walkers, canes, etc. Check- in/out
- Outgoing mail
- Compile monthly sign in sheets
- Cash Receipts
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skill Sets:
- Moderate to Proficient Excel
- Proficient in Social Media
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Preferred Canva, Publisher, Neon, Click Bid, or other specialty software
- 10-Key by Touch
- One to two year previous experience in a similar role.
